Director of Marketing

Imanis Data is seeing an inspired and enthusiastic marketing leader who enjoys working in a fast paced environment developing and implementing integrated marketing plans for an exciting early stage tech company.

As the Director of Marketing for Imanis Data, you will be in charge of developing our brand and marketing messaging, building brand awareness and driving both our inbound and outbound marketing strategy and its tactical implementation. Success will be defined by generating marketing qualified leads that can be pursued by our sales teams and increased awareness amongst key influencers. This position will work closely with the entire executive team including the VP of Sales, VP of Product and CTO.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Working closely with sales, product, and customers to refine a differentiated message, value proposition, and positioning for the Imanis Data products
  • Work with sales team to research and develop lists of prospects, contacts and key influencers
  • Create effective, targeted content, marketing copy, sales collateral, and sales enablement tools to communicate with prospects and help accelerate sales
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive demand generation strategy across multiple channels and marketing campaigns including web, email, paid advertising, and events to generate new leads and drive sales pipeline
  • Set clear and measurable marketing goals and KPIs for internal and external stakeholders
  • Analyze and optimize performance of all marketing programs and provide regular reports and updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage and direct agencies and other third parties to achieve marketing goals



  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in B2B marketing for early stage storage or Big Data startups marketing to a technical oriented audience
  • Domain expertise in storage, Big Data, NoSQL is a MUST
  • Experience developing messaging for and executing multi-channel marketing programs for a tech company including web, email, paid advertising, and events targeted at developers
  • Involvement and knowledge of Marcom practices and tactics and experience managing press releases and contributed articles with general business, trade and technical press
  • Extensive involvement in developing an events strategy including event selection and execution
  • Marketo and Salesforce experience is a MUST
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment on tight deadlines
  • Proficiency with content creation, email marketing, and lead nurturing
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions
  • A roll up your sleeves attitude and the ability to tackle any task big or small



Sales Development Representative

Imanis Data is seeking an experienced and competitive Sales Development Representative that thrives in a fast, aggressive startup. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. This is a full time position in our Corporate Offices located in San Jose. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree with two to five years of telemarketing / inside sales experience delivering quality (Financial, Fortune 1000, Technology executive level) leads to highly motivated sales teams.


Knowledge of,, LinkedIn and other sales tools essential as well as previous experience working with ABM lead generation programs.



Senior Sales Engineer

The Senior Sales Engineer will play a critical role in establishing credibility and confidence with prospective clients, by demonstrating and proving the Imanis Data value through its software, services, and thought leadership. This person will work closely with prospective customers, leveraging his/her technical aptitude and drive to envision, determine and communicate how Imanis Data can best serve its customers' unique needs.

The Senior Sales Engineer on the Imanis Data team will:

  • Develop a strong working relationship with the customer’s technical staff and be able to gain their trust and credibility through his/her deep technical knowledge and subject matter expertise
  • Manage and lead the customer throughout the evaluation process and ensure a deal’s technical close
  • Work closely with the Account Executive to align the technical requirements and the solution design with the customers’ business drivers and demonstrate unique value
  • Deliver product presentations and demonstrations tailored to customers’ requirements and tuned to suit the level and nature of the audience
  • Develop Proofs of Concept with a clear plan to take a prospect successfully through the evaluation process and turn them into a happy customer
  • Coordinate and deliver RFP/I/Q responses and technical architecture solutions
